Interest is invited in a joint venture arrangement for the promotion of the site of the Gordon Lacey Hall and adjacent land for residential
development with Erewash Borough Council.
The site is located immediately adjacent to the A52 on its northern side, next to the western slip road and Victoria Avenue adjacent to the bridge over the A52.
The site extends to 1820 sqm or thereabouts, approximately 0.45 acres. It comprises a small car park with access off the western slip road of the A52, together with a lawned area in the middle of which is located a single storey timber framed building which is the Church Hall. There is no current planning consent for any change of use. The core strategy for Erewash Borough Council was adopted in March 2014. The site lies outside the defined village "envelope". It is not within a conservation area. It is within the area defined as Green Belt, which is covered by Policy GBI which states "a presumption against inappropriate development excepting very special circumstances .......". Policy GB2 deals with development within settlements "washed over" by Green Belt, limiting infilling where certain criteria are satisfield. The owners are inviting join venture proposals for the promoting of the site under Policy GB2.
